I’m Jade! Welcome to my creative journey. I am a professional calligrapher, artist and educator and I started this business in 2017.
My foundation began in graphic design, until one day I found myself blessed with the unexpected opportunity. My bestie informed me she was getting married, there were cheers and jumping and I may have scared some people at a table next to us.
I was beside myself for her…
As we poured over her binder full wedding details, I realized she needed support. From planning to execution of her "Big Day" I was all in. She needed someone to help her bring her dreams to life, and I immediately knew that I had stumbled into my calling. Pulling all the intricate details, paying attention to each beautiful design elements… together we brought her fairytale wedding to life.
Following that experience…
I began developing my craft. The storyteller in me had found its role as a “scribe;” the one who captures the beauty and elegance of romance and transfers it to paper and ink. It was time to dedicate myself to the transformative art of calligraphy, intensively develop my talents, and Gold Leaf was born.
I’ve taken on many roles in my story; daughter, friend, STUDENT, soldier, wife and mother.
This was a journey I didn’t even expect but have jumped in with both feet. I have found that my work leaves my brides breathless and captivated by how seamless my artwork brings their wedding fantasy to life. Calligraphy is an embodiment of artful storytelling in its own way, and just as each pen stroke has its own personality, each wedding has a unique happy begining. My journey has led me to living my dream come true, as the "scribe" who helps your wedding dreams come true.

My Experience
I am a pointed pen calligrapher…
I have studied with Master Penmen in traditional scripts such as Copperplate, Spencerian and developed my own modern and creative calligraphy styles. I am also an illustrator; a painter and I love creating custom pieces using different mediums personal to each client. My couples are from Northeast Ohio but I look forward to working with couples all over the United States of America.
My teachers have included Master Penman Michael Sull in Business Writing and Master Penman Connie Chen in Spencerian Calligraphy and now teach both traditional and modern calligraphy in private workshops.

Creative Voice
As I’ve continued to grow in my artistic journey, I seek out opportunities to support others and find inspiration. I love to support couples and help them relax and enjoy the creative process as we develop a wedding aesthetic that reflects their story. It warms my heart when I hear of their excitement when they have their final pieces in hand.
I try to connect not only with my couples but others who appreciate the fine beauty of calligraphy and want to learn. I love to see new calligrapher’s become confident in each stroke and start to create flowing lines with their nib and ink.
